ORIGINAL ARTWORK Most original comic artwork for Turnpike is for sale. Artwork is drawn and inked on 11 x 17" bristol board from Blue Line Pro. A few select pages have been drawn digitally for special reasons, and are not available. All original artwork contains the raw artwork before revisions, certain effects, or lettering. Things like the little notes I make, as well as my errors, are present. If you'd like to own a piece of original artwork, follow these steps. First, find the comic you want, and write down the comic ID number. This can be found in the url next to the comic= string (so this comic's ID is 01-15). Next, send an email to the support email address at 101-mhz.com. This address is also used for Paypal transactions. Indicate the comic that you're interested in via the email.
One I receive the email, I'll check on availability and reply to you with the details. It's first come first serve. Most comic pages will range between $75 and $120 depending on the page itself. Pages will come with a printed copy of the lettered final version, as well as a sketch from me.
The custom works section is split into several purchase types. A sketch is pretty simple. I sketch what you want, sign it, and email it to you. For digital comics, I draw the type of comic you want using my Cinqiq, and email that to you. Hand-drawn comic requests are done the same way I do my Turnpike comic pages. Penciled, drawn and inked on bristol board, scanned, lettered-if-needed, and a high res copy will be emailed to you. Finally, you can request the hand-drawn comic from above, but I will snail mail you the comic page itself in the same way I mail original Turnpike pages. It will include a sketch on the back from me.
